Tips on Printer Buying and What They Can Do for You

How to choose a good printing machine?
Of course, there is the first thing, what are you using it for. There are several good printers out there but the one thing you have to decide is what is the major area that you are printing in. Pictures, quantities of text or multi-tasking.

There are the two types of printers, ink-jet and laser. For the large quantities of text such as an office environment you would want to go with the laser printer. For quality and long lasting pictures ink-jets are for you.

You can get a decent ink-jet printer from $50-$150 and then go upward from there for the better ones. The laser printers start at $200 for good and fast text and graphics. If you do not plan on doing a wide range of tasks you should be able to pick one or the other easily.

But we come to the part of the everyday person, not the business or small photo enthusiast. For everyday printing with a broad range of functions there are many you can choose from. The best for your needs also has to fit your pocket book.

There are printers for home use, then there are ones for portability, and there are ones that combine features of a scanner, printer and copier, multi use printers. There are printers that specialize in photos that you can print the 3x5 or 4x6 photos directly form your camera.

You need to decide what you are using yours for and choose the one with the features you like the best. Of course, photo printers will have better quality, while portable printers will be a bit slower than others. There are trade offs when it comes to the different printers and what you will be using yours for

Wide-Format Inkjet Printers: Printing Paper Explained

With a wide-format inkjet printer sitting contentedly on your desk and a plethora of advertising, scrapbooking, publishing or artistic ideas running through your head, you are faced with a pressing—and important—question: What type of paper should you use? There are almost as many varieties of printing paper as there are potential printing projects and each one is suited to a different feel and appearance. In this article, we will discuss the different types of inkjet paper, their specific applications and the top reason to use them.
At TopTenREVIEWS We Do the Research So You Don’t Have To.™
Plain Paper
Standard printing paper, the type that is typically packaged into “reams,” is the most commonly utilized paper for routine printing projects. This type of paper is very thin and absorbent, making it perfect for large, simple printing jobs that require rapid drying. This type of paper is not ideal for graphic-heavy documents, as an excess of absorbed ink will cause the paper fibers to swell and warp. This is most commonly manifested in a wavy appearance in the paper. This office paper is also not white enough for graphical printing; the dull gray-white color of the paper leads to a lower color fidelity, leading to colors in the graphics appearing dull or muddy.
Top reason to use this type of paper: Large volume text document production.
Coated Paper
Coated paper is similar to plain paper, but it is generally thicker and heavier with a coating of an absorbent material—such as fine clay dust—on one side. The thickness of the paper and the presence of the dust allow more ink to be absorbed into the paper without warping or ink spreading. This allows ink to be applied evenly across the paper without smudging, bleeding or oversaturation. Coated paper is also generally bleached using a substance such as titanium dioxide. This increases the perceived whiteness of the paper, granting it a wider and more accurate color gamut. There are three major types of coated paper:
Glossy
Glossy paper can be coated using a variety of different processes, including multicoating, resin coating and cast coating, all of which achieve the same basic result: a sheet of paper with a shiny finish. This type of paper is frequently used in photos of people, namely portraits. The high sheen grants a professional, polished look to the photo. This type of paper is best reserved for photography.
Top reason to use this type of paper: Portrait photography.
Luster/Semi-Gloss/Semi-Matte
These middle of the road papers attempt to combine the best of two worlds, compromising their individual identifying characteristics to embrace a wider variety of printing applications. It does not quite reach the reflective shine of the glossy paper nor does it have the dull, tactile appearance of the matte. But it excels at mixed-media documents. This is the ideal choice for a document with both text and graphics.
Top reason to use this type of paper: Mixed media documents.
Matte
Matte paper is a thick, coated paper with a dull finish. This matte finish forgoes the polish of a glossy finish to cut back on glare, allowing a document to be more easily read. The finish allows this paper to dry quickly, eliminating the thrilling “watching ink dry” phase of document production. This is the paper to use for important and official documents.
Top reason to use this type of paper: Official documents.
With this information, you can dazzle co-workers, employers and potential clients with your immaculate prints and presentations. With your new wide-format inkjet printer in hand and the appropriate printing paper sheathed in the media tray, nothing can stand between you and the world of professionally produced prints.

Care Yuur Printer

The printer is an essential PC peripherals. Most printers use a PC or a Centronics parallel interface.On the PC, the interface is a female connector 25-pin D type, the parallel interface to send the eight bits of data simultaneously, where the channel strobe tells the printer whenever the characters to be read.For the reading of the parallel interface decreases, then the printer reads the data byte, then the acknowledge signal is used to notify the computer that the interface is ready to bertaambah again.Another signal is used to inform the PC when the interface is active or busy, an error has occurred or out of paper and others.Printers, like other saranan, will benefit if treated with care.In most printers, the cleaning is done setiapmengganti ribbon is too often.To clean the printer, first turn off the printer, unplug the electrical current from the plug socket and then remove the lid.For laser printers, follow established procedures in the manual on cleaning and replacing cartridges.For laser jet printers that use machine type CANON, then you need to do is clean the corona wire carefully to move the toner reservoir.For this you must replace it every three or four times a replacement cartridge.But it's good, when the printer is open, to check the machine and be careful removing dirt, toner or paper dust menumnup in it.As for the type of dot-matrix printers or inkjet, then you need to do is remove the ribbon or ink cartridges, then look at how the band moves through the 'head' print.That way you can change it later, the next step is to carefully hapulah paper dust that has fallen into the engine. Then check that no piece of paper or label placard which prevents the paper. For a thin card is usually used to clean dirt.

How to replace ink Catridge

Computer printers have become merchandise in the technology world today. They do not exist for further cost and given death on many occasions. What is not given it is the ink that makes them very useful. In many cases, the cost of ink cartridges for printers can cost more than the printer. Therefore, changing the ink cartridges must be done properly so that maximum use is achieved ink.
Every little bit different
Each printer manufacturer that makes them unique printer so you need to buy their ink cartridges. As a result, changing ink cartridges is slightly different for each printer. There are some common things to look for the individual but the printer will vary. Whatever the printer, but you will need to get the inside of the printer to change the ink cartridges.
Looking for color
Usually there are four cartridges to change: black, magenta, cyan and yellow. To find the cartridges are the easiest way to open the top of the printer and looking for a black box. Something like this would look something like this can move but in many cases four-color cartridges have to look at each color in the box. They may be hidden just below the other parts of the printer. This means that you may have to find a button at the top of the printer to push for about three seconds. This will move into the black box that opens.
Removing the ink cartridges from the black box. Occasionally shake gently to release them to be removed, while in most cases you will need to push or pull a lever slowly on each cartridge has delivered them out of the box. A fore and thumb should be to remove the ink cartridges from the box. There will be little resistance but not much.
Keep it clean
Please look around the inside of the box that holds the ink cartridges. If you see there are some residues or perhaps the old ink cartridges, find a non-linting cloth to clean it out of the box. This can clog the ports for the next set of new cartridges.

How to choose a good printing machine? by Anjar

The printer is a mandatory tool for us now and many types of printers on the market sometimes makes us confused to choose which is best for us.
Here are some basic guidelines that would help you in determining the best printer for your needs.
Overall, we usually always choose a printer by considering the price, function and quality of prints.

What often you print?
Documents in the form of text for business purposes
possible types Monochrome Laser Printer (BW) is the most suitable because in addition to prints are also good and fast, cost or expense you spend per page is much cheaper than Inkjet Printer
The document with many charts or pictures
maybe you could consider using a color laser printer.
Photos or pictures
To get a fairly good quality, probably better suited for inkjet printers photo printing needs despite the rather large cost incurred for each document or photo printed and the speed is not as fast as laser printers.
Documents and photos
Inkjet printers may be best suited to you as it can perform both tasks well (if not exactly perfect) even though the cost per document is larger, much better than you have to buy 2 printers.
Do you need Printer All in One or multifunction?
Multifunction printer is a printer that has several major functions in it that is print, copy and scanner (scanner) and perhaps the fax function.
The main considerations for choosing a multifunction printer is a place where usually the provision of places for these printers are very few and also suggests that cable "chaotic" to kia avoid.
One thing to remember, to use a printer of this type of work then copy, scan and others should be done one by one so that if any type of work is often done at the same time so we taste Multifunction printers not suitable for you because a lot of time wasted for waiting.
Type of connection or a connection
Recently, many types of printer connections are offered (other than through a parallel connection), among others, via USB, PictBridge (direct connection to digital cameras), Network (Ethernet), Bluetooth and Wi-fi.
Consider well, if the printer will be used for one computer alone or with multiple computers and in places that may be far apart.
If you have a network at your office or home then with a printer that has a network connection (network), be it Ethernet, Bluetooth or Wi-fi, will be very useful so you do not need to buy more than one printer.
My recommendation, adjust to the needs of our work. What are the requirements then need to be tailored to those needs. Some are as follows:1. Activities (business) I need to print any document?>> Options (black-white), (colored), (table-graphics-presentation), (brochure-photo)
2. Activities (business) I need a printer with what function?>> Options (print, copy, scan, fax), (print-copy-scan), (print only)
3. The amount of paper printed per month?>> Options (1000 p.)
4. The size of the printed paper?>> Options (4 × 6 in. / 5 × 7 in. "A6"), (8.5 × 11 in 'A4/A5'), (11 × 17 in. "A3")
5. Settings file?>> Options (Print back - back), (automatic document feeder)
6. The operating system used?>> Options (Windows), (Linux), (Mac OS)
7. The need to connect to the network?>> Options (Yes. How many users ...), (not)
8. Does it require wireless printing?>> Options (Bluetooth), (not necessary)
9. Estimated funds needed?>> Options ($ 100), ($ 100 - $ 200), ($ 200 - $ 400), (> $ 400)

How to choose a good printing machine?

Selecting the Printer sometimes confuse, would select a Laser Jet or Ink Jet? Things to consider in choosing a new printer engine technologies are: the purpose or usefulness of any printer, whether for purposes of printing businesses, offices, administration, or graphic design studio?
Here are tips on choosing a printer for your needs:
* Resolution Printer
To print the text as for office, you do not need a printer with a resolution that is too high. But if your requirements for printing and graphic design, please use the printer with high resolution. Because, office printing equipment with high resolution will determine the print quality.

* Output Matter
If you are going to print pictures or photos, then you better use an inkjet printer. If you want to print text, it would be better quality if you use a laser jet printer.
* Speed
If the purpose in the use of printers require the speed, the laser jet printer is the right choice.
* Customize With Motherboard Connection
For now, the connection uses a USB port more attractive than in connection with using the parallel port. Because the latest technology via a USB printer engine more flexible in installation, and faster in data transfer. However, not all motherboards support (equipped) with a USB port, but to use a USB Card (additional, optional).

* Budget
Laser Jet Printer is the perfect choice for the purpose of prioritizing speed and quality printing with the text. However, the budget (funds) to purchase the necessary was also quite large. Demikinan also with the cost of using a toner. Prices for laser printers and toner jet, can be five times more than the type of ink jet printers.
Thus, the needs, budgets, and quality are the three main things that should really be considered in selecting the right printer.
Hopefully this information useful and can assist in selecting the appropriate printer mission with the needs, budgets, and quality ...
